A Commitment to Excellence
Curriculum
We operate a comprehensive and balanced integrated curriculum involving the revised Nigerian Curriculum with the right blend of global educational contents [Cambridge ICE]
In a world grappling with pervasiveness, and sound character development, it is a must for every Muslim child especially as guided by the teachings of the Qur’an and the Hadiths as well as the tenets of Islam.
Essentially, our curriculum places emphasis on personalized learning. At AIS, pupils and students of all ages are challenged to do their personal best and they are also guided to become independent and creative learners.
Co-Curricular Activities
Our enrichment programmes include a robust hands-on diction and field trips. This is in addition to the different sporting activities that we offer at the school.
In order to develop individual talents, broaden scope of interest and cultivate leadership traits in our students/pupils; we encourage them to join at least one clubs in the school;
- Muslim Students’ Society
- Naady Lughatil Arabiyyah
- Debate and Press Club
- JETS Club
- Homemakers/Creative Club
- History and Current AffairsClub
- Readers and Spelling Club
- Geographical Club.
Qur'an and Arabic Studies
We place special emphasis on Qur’an memorization which has been the bedrock of our curriculum since the inception of the school. It is our goal that our learners complete the memorization of the glorious Qur’an before the completion of their basic education. At AIS, we are committed to actualizing this lofty objective under the guidance of our qualified teachers. However, the natural ability and endowment of each learner play an important role in realizing this target.
Also, Arabic is an integral part of our curriculum because it is the language of The Qur’an and the knowledge of the language is central to the understanding of Islam. Through the preparation and implementation of a robust curriculum, our learners fluently speak and write in Arabic. In addition, appropriate and standard instructional and textual resources are available for the effective delivery of the subject.
